Fluffy American pancakes topped with fresh strawberries—perfect for a delicious breakfast or sweet treat. Quick to make and beautifully simple!
200g all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
300ml milk
1 large egg
2 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for frying)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Fresh strawberries (sliced)
Optional: maple syrup, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce for decoration
Mix dry ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Mix wet ingredients:
In another bowl, beat the egg, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Combine:
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix (it’s okay if it’s a little lumpy).
Cook the pancakes:
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a bit of butter. Pour a small ladle of batter into the pan. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden.
Serve:
Stack the pancakes on a plate. Top with sliced strawberries and your choice of maple syrup, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce.
