Fluffy American Pancakes with Strawberries

 Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

  2. Mix wet ingredients:
    In another bowl, beat the egg, then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. Combine:
    Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix (it’s okay if it’s a little lumpy).

  4. Cook the pancakes:
    Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a bit of butter. Pour a small ladle of batter into the pan. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden.

  5. Serve:
    Stack the pancakes on a plate. Top with sliced strawberries and your choice of maple syrup, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce.
