Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—these classic homemade waffles are perfect for breakfast or dessert

  • 2 eggs

  • 250 ml milk

  • 250 g all-purpose flour

  • 60 g melted butter (or oil)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

  1. Mix the wet ingredients:
    In a bowl, beat the eggs lightly. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  2. Combine the dry ingredients:
    In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Make the batter:
    Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until smooth and lump-free.

  4. Cook the waffles:
    Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it.
    Pour enough batter to cover the surface (about 1/2 cup, depending on your waffle maker).
    Close the lid and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. Serve:
    Serve warm with your favorite toppings: fresh fruit, whipped cream, syrup, chocolate, or jam.
