Cocoa Marble Cake

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
    Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a loaf pan.

  2. Prepare the batter:
    In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract, and mix well.

  3. Add dry ingredients:
    Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth and lump-free.

  4. Make the cocoa layer:
    Divide the batter in two. In one half, mix in the cocoa powder until fully incorporated.

  5. Create the marble effect:
    Pour the plain batter into the prepared loaf pan, then add the cocoa batter on top. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the two batters together to create a marble pattern.

  6. Bake:
    Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Cool and serve:
    Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve once completely cooled.
